- It looks great on your resume!
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE KIDS… IT CHANGES YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON EVERYTHING. IT HAS SUCH A BIG IMPACT ON YOUR WORLD VIEW, WHICH NO OTHER EXPERIENCE CAN MATCH.
We’re currently recruiting mentors for our Sidekicks Senior, Sidekicks Junior and Side by Side programs. Once a week they assist the Program Coordinator to execute our weekly program sessions, transforming themselves into the trusty sidekicks of our RMCC kids. Mentors provide educational assistance, help run life skills workshops, and act as a friend and positive role model.
We welcome mentors of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.
The Program Intern is responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator with the preparation of program materials and running of program sessions. This includes program research and development, mentoring RMCC kids with an emphasis on the English language and developing essential life skills, and building trusting relationships with RMCC kids and RMCC mentors. This is a two days per week role.
We welcome applicants of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.
If you don’t see a volunteer role for you but have a particular skill you want to use to empower young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear from you!
